Embodying the film’s name, Jolie slipped into a timeless black gown with spaghetti straps, a V neckline, and a flowy skirt. She styled it ever so minimalistically, with pointy black pumps, diamond earrings, and a diamond ring. Her glam was just as classic: a subtle red lip paired with a smoky eye, and a bright and glossy red manicure.
Jolie’s appearance at the 73rd San Sebastian International Film Festival comes weeks after she made a showstopping entrance at the premiere of Couture at the Toronto International Film Festival. Then, she wore a chocolate-brown double-breasted coat from Gabriela Hearst, which she styled with nothing underneath but sheer black tights and pointy black Christian Louboutin pumps—a high leg slit taking the spotlight.
And weeks before that, Jolie made waves at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, where she flowed onto the carpet in an airy snow-white cape dress with an asymmetrical cut.
On another occasion in Cannes, she stepped away from her easy aesthetic, opting instead for a magnificent strapless champagne ball gown embroidered with sequins all over, which she paired with an equally magnificent diamond necklace.
In the fashion drama Couture, directed by Alice Winocour and set during Paris Fashion Week, Jolie plays an American film director named Maxine who is fighting a private battle after being diagnosed with breast cancer. A release date for the United States has not yet been announced.
