“Hasina’s Ghosts in Administration Fueling Planned Unrest: Rizvi”
He added that no force is stronger than the people. “No matter how many new conspiracies are hatched, they will be defeated, and through free and fair elections, democracy will return to the country. At the same time, the country will be governed while preserving independence and sovereignty.”
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that although Sheikh Hasina has fled, her “ghosts” and associates still remain.
He alleged that they are strategically positioned in different areas of the administration, creating pre-planned unrest so that Chief Adviser of the Interim Government Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the interim government cannot hold a free and fair election.
Rizvi made the remarks on Thursday (September 4) noon while speaking to journalists at College Para in Brahmanbaria town. He was there to extend greetings on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to meritorious 10th-grade student and young researcher Ahnaf Bin Ashraf Nabil, on behalf of “Amra BNP Poribar” (We Are BNP Family).
Rizvi said, “Sheikh Hasina shed rivers of blood to cling to power with her cruelty. For those leaders and individuals in the administration who are responsible, a kind of green signal has been given from the Passport Department so they can leave the country. Those accused of crimes or who could be offenders should not get this green signal from the administration. This clearly shows that those embedded within the administration are still working to implement Sheikh Hasina’s far-reaching plans.”
He added that no force is stronger than the people. “No matter how many new conspiracies are hatched, they will be defeated, and through free and fair elections, democracy will return to the country. At the same time, the country will be governed while preserving independence and sovereignty.”
Regarding freedom of expression, Rizvi said, “Every political party has the right to express opinions from its own position, and that is the culture of democracy. It cannot be called mudslinging. This is the very democracy for which we have fought for 16 years. Sheikh Hasina had snatched away this driving force of democracy.”
Commenting on the legality of the July Charter, Rizvi said, “Without an elected parliament, nothing can be considered as law beforehand. If that happens, the very spirit of the struggle for the rule of law will be undermined.”
Speaking about young researcher Nabil, he said, “At such a young age, his innovative thinking is incredible. Having discovered his talent, Tarique Rahman has extended greetings to him. Later, on behalf of the BNP family, we also provided him with financial support.”
Present at the event were BNP Central Economic Affairs Secretary and Brahmanbaria District BNP President Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal, convener of “Amra BNP Poribar” Atikur Rahman Ruman, District BNP Senior Vice President Zahirul Haque Khokon, General Secretary Sirajul Islam Siraj, former President Hafizur Rahman Molla Kochi, along with leaders and activists of the district BNP and its affiliated organizations.
Notably, young researcher Ahnaf Bin Ashraf Nabil has been working on developing an app called Guardian Angel. The app aims to provide digital solutions in 19 areas, including ensuring the safety of women and children and combating climate change.
