Sadman Sameer’s Film ''Udayman Surjo" Set for Release

Nearly 15 years ago, popular actor Sadman Sameer first appeared on screen through a Citycell mobile phone commercial. Starting his career in modeling, he later moved into television dramas and films. Widely known for his role as a superhero, Samir has worked in countless TV commercials and dramas. At present, however, he is fully focused on his film career.
His upcoming feature film, Udayman Surjo (The Rising Sun), is scheduled for theatrical release on September 26. The film, built around an original Liberation War story and enriched with songs, stars Sadman Sameer alongside actress Kanta Nur in the lead roles.
Speaking about the project to Daily Bangladesh Time, Sadman Sameer said: “It’s a powerful story, and I feel honored to be a part of it. Working in a Liberation War–based film has been a rewarding experience. The script is inspired by real stories I heard directly from four freedom fighters.”

Directed by SM Shafiul Azam, Udayman Surjo is produced by Linet Films, with Azam himself writing the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The cast also includes Shishir Ahmed, Tamanna Juli, Obid Rehan, Sajjad Saju, Anwar Siraji, Gulshan Ara Popi, ABM Sohel Rashid, Billu, Amirul Islam, Aslam Ali, Dr. Shiuli Zaman, Azam Khan, Shahela Akhter, Sadia Afrin, Ahmed Saju, Enayet Rajib, Babul Raza, Nazirul, Misti Hasan, Abdul Aziz, Pintu Akonji, Bipul, Taufiq Dollar, and many others.
Notably, Sadman Sameer began his journey in the entertainment industry nearly a decade and a half ago as a model. Some of his most popular films include Epar Opar, Time Machine, and Superhero.
