In the sky of Dhaka cinema, Alexender Bow shines as a star of his own. The immensely popular “Karate Hero” Alexander Bow is one of Bangladesh’s most celebrated superstars. During the 1990s, he captivated audiences across the country with his powerful performances on the big screen. Fans would eagerly wait for the release of his films, and every new Alexender Bow movie would turn into a festive celebration.
This iconic actor entered the film industry in the mid-1990s. Although he began his career playing supporting roles, he rose to prominence as a leading hero with director Shahidul Islam Khokon’s blockbuster Madam Fuli. The film achieved massive commercial success and critical acclaim, eventually earning a National Film Award.

Alexender Bow had two great mentors — the late director Shahidul Islam Khokon, who guided him in acting, and popular action star Masum Parvez Rubel, who was his mentor in karate.
A 5th-degree black belt Karate Master, Alexender Bow is an Executive Member (Munshiganj District) of the Bangladesh Karate Federation. He has represented Bangladesh in numerous national and international karate tournaments, earning six national titles in karate fighting competitions.
He currently serves as a Judge of the Asian Karate Federation and a Trainer at the Bangladesh Karate Federation. Moreover, he is the Chief Karate Instructor at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), where he trains actors to perform realistic martial arts and stunts for action roles.
Beyond his cinematic achievements, Alexender Bow plays a vital leadership role in shaping the industry’s future. He serves as the International Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artiste Association and as Games and Sports Member In-Charge and Second In-Charge of Administration at the Bangladesh Film Club Limited. He actively promotes innovation and inclusivity within South Asian cinema.
